(Wingham, ON) The F. Paul Heffer flags will stay until press and public questions are returned to all council meetings. This is the demand of Buck & Jos, a restaurant in the heart of Wingham. Some call it blackmail; we call it incentivizing democracy.
Disgraced current North Huron Reeve/Mayor Paul Heffer is facing backlash not only from activists but also from his own family members after he removed comments from council meetings, despite the Wingham Ward being 100% opposed.
Once again, Blyth and East Wawanosh have forced themselves on Wingham as they ravage what is left of Winghams carcass (e.g., Howson Dam, Airport, Trailer Park, Museum, etc.) while the paid Wingham Ward representatives do nothing as our democracy is decimated.
Since the Wingham Ward councilors lack the courage to speak up for those they are paid to represent, many believe this constitutes theft, bystanderism at its worst, and, at the very least, cowardice and incompetence.
Residents are urged to start attending council meetings until our democracy is restored. They are encouraged to bring their cameras to video record for everyones protection. Our only weapons are video cameras and the truth, and we need to arm ourselves immediately. Council meetings are usually held on the first and third Mondays of each month.
The next council meeting is Tuesday 03Sept2024, 6pm.
