(ASHFIELD-COLBORNE-WAWANOSH TOWNSHIP, ON) An investigation conducted by the Huron Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Crime Unit has culminated in criminal charges against a Stratford resident.
On June 25, 2024, at approximately 11:30 p.m., members of the Huron OPP detachment responded to a dispute involving several individuals at a residence located in the Township of Ashfield-Colborne-Wawanosh.
The investigation revealed that the victim in this incident was attacked with weapons prior to police arrival.
Austin CRAWLEY, 21-years-old, from Stratford has been charged with:
Attempt to Commit Murder contrary to section 239 (1)(b) of the Criminal Code (CC); and with
Failure to Comply with Probation Order (two counts) contrary to section 733.1(1) of the Criminal Code.
The accused is being held in custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice located in Goderich on August 20, 2024.
