(WELLINGTON COUNTY, ON) Two individuals are facing charges following a drug trafficking investigation and the execution of a search warrant at a residence by the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Wellington County Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU).
On August 20, 2024, at 2:19 p.m., members of the Wellington County CSCU and the West Region Emergency Response Team, executed a search warrant at a residence on 13th Line East Garafraxa.
During the search officers discovered and seized a quantity of suspected cocaine, and psilocybin along with drug paraphernalia. The combined estimated value of the seized controlled substances is approximately $5000.00.
28-year-old Connor Scratcher of East Garafraxa is charged with the following offences:
Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking cocaine
Possession of a schedule III substance for the purpose of trafficking
Trafficking schedule I substance cocaine
The accused was held pending a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Guelph.
29-year-old Samantha Kennedy of East Garafraxa is charged with the following offences:
Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking cocaine
Possession of a schedule III substance for the purpose of trafficking
Unauthorized possession of a weapon
Samantha Kennedy was released and is scheduled to attend the Ontario Court of Justice in Guelph on September 24, 2024.
