(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) A prohibited driver was charged after being stopped in Simcoe by the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Haldimand/Norfolk Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU).
At approximately 6:14 p.m. on Wednesday, August 28, 2024, the Haldimand/Norfolk OPP CSCU conducted a traffic stop and investigation on Hackberry Lane in Simcoe, Norfolk County.
As a result, the driver was taken into custody without incident.
During a search of the individual, officers discovered and seized a quantity of suspected cocaine.
Charged with the following alleged offences is 53-year-old Joseph HOLLIDAY of Norfolk County:
Operation while prohibited under the Criminal Code,
Use plate not authorized for vehicle,
Possession of a Schedule I substance cocaine.
The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Simcoe on Tuesday, October 1, 2024.
