(LUCAN BIDDULPH, ON) Traffic complaint leads to alcohol related charges for six youth from Huron County.
On September 6, 2024, at 10:36 p.m., members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police, were dispatched to a traffic complaint on Richmond Street in the Township of Lucan Biddulph.
A complaint was received from a member of the public that occupants were tossing items out the window from a moving vehicle.
The vehicle was located, and a traffic stop was initiated.
A search of the vehicle revealed open alcohol. As a result, five passengers, all 16-years-old of Huron County, were charged under the Liquor Licence Control Act with Person under 19 years having liquor.
The driver, a 17-year-old of Blyth, passed a roadside Approved Screening Device (ASD) test and was subsequently charged with Driving motor vehicle with liquor readily available under the Liquor Licence Control Act.
Middlesex OPP wants to remind the public that if you see anything suspicious or suspect an impaired driver you should contact the Ontario Provincial Police or your nearest police authority immediately.
