(NEW TECUMSETH, ON)- The Nottawasaga Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Major Crime Unit has charged an individual in relation to a historical sexual assault.



In August 2024, an investigation began after a victim reported a sexual assault that occurred in 2010. At the time of the incident the accused and the victim were members of the same residential community in the Town of Beeton.

As a result of the investigation, John WILKINSON, from New Tecumseth was charged with:

– Sexual Assault

– Sexual Interference

The accused has been arrested and released and is scheduled to attend Ontario Court of Justice in Bradford on September 26th, 2024.
