(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) Two individuals were charged following investigations into separate impaired driving incidents.
At approximately 7:25 a.m. on Friday, September 13, 2024, officers from the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Norfolk County Detachment responded to a single-vehicle collision on Norfolk County Highway 24 East in Simcoe, Norfolk County.
It was determined that the vehicle had collided with construction equipment on the roadway. No injuries were reported.
After assessing the drivers sobriety at the scene, the driver was taken into custody without incident.
Charged with the following alleged offences is 34-year-old Jesse MILLER of Norfolk County:
Operation while impaired alcohol and drugs,
Dangerous operation.
The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Simcoe on Tuesday, October 1, 2024.
At approximately 4:04 p.m. on Sunday, September 15, 2024, an officer from the Norfolk County OPP Detachment conducted a vehicle stop and investigation on Norfolk Street South in Simcoe, Norfolk County.
Following a roadside sobriety assessment, the driver was taken into custody without incident.
Charged with the following alleged offences is 40-year-old Nicole DELONG POWER of Norfolk County:
Operation while impaired blood alcohol concentration (80 plus),
Driving while under suspension (two counts),
Speeding 1-49 km/h over posted speed limit (two counts).
The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Simcoe on Tuesday, October 22, 2024.
