(THUNDER BAY, ON) On September 16th, 2024 at approximately 11:22 p.m., officers from the Shabaqua & Thunder Bay Detachments of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a traffic stop on a motor vehicle along Dawson Road, within the City of Thunder Bay.
Through the investigation, it was determined that the driver had been consuming alcoholic beverages, was placed under arrest & returned to the detachment for further tests.
As a result of the investigation, Colin ROBERTSON, 47, of Thunder Bay was charged with:
Operation while impaired blood alcohol concentration (80 plus);
Operation while impaired alcohol and drugs;
The accused has been released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Thunder Bay on November 27th, 2024.
(THUNDER BAY, ON) Furthermore, on September 18th, 2024 at approximately 3:17 a.m., officers from the Thunder Bay Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were conducting a reduce impaired driving everywhere (R.I.D.E.) program along the Balsam Street off-ramp, within the City of Thunder Bay.
During the RIDE program, it was determined that one of the drivers had been consuming alcoholic beverages, was placed under arrest & returned to the detachment for further tests.
As a result of the investigation, Corey SPENCE, 38, of Thunder Bay was charged with:
Operation while impaired alcohol and drugs;
Operation while impaired blood alcohol concentration (80 plus);
The accused has been released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Thunder Bay on October 23rd, 2024.
