(KINCARDINE, ON) On September 18, 2024, at 4:52 a.m., the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a stolen pick-up truck with attached livestock trailer, taken from an address along Sideroad 15 North in the Municipality of Kincardine.
The vehicle was abandoned in the area of Bervie Sideroad and Concession 5; the driver then fled on foot. OPP Canine and members of the Emergency Response Team (ERT) were called to assist. An individual was later located and placed under arrest.
As a result of the investigation, Nathan CHAMBERS, 27-years-old from North Huron, has been charged with the following offences:
Theft over $5,000 CC 334(a)
Dangerous Operation CC 320.13(1)
Operation While Prohibited CC 320.18(1)(a)
Fail to Comply with Probation Order CC 733.1(1) two counts
Theft under $5,000 CC 334(b)
Driving while under suspension HTA 53(1)
Failure to Comply with Undertaking CC 145(4)(a)
The accused was held for a bail hearing and subsequently remanded into custody.
