(CITY OF KAWARTHA LAKES, ON) Members of the City of Kawartha Lakes Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged an individual after conducting a Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (R.I.D.E.) program on County Road 8, Fenelon Township.
On September 18, 2024, at 11:07 p.m., officers conducted a RIDE Program on County Road 8 in Fenelon Township. A motor vehicle approached the officers conducting the program where an odor of alcohol was found to be emitting from the driver. Through investigation the driver was arrested and charged with impaired driving offences.

In addition to the charges the driver received a 90-day licence suspension and the motor vehicle was impounded for 7 days.
The above mentioned is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Lindsay at a later date.
