(DUFFERIN COUNTY) Members of the Dufferin Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged one male with impaired operation related offences.
On September 19, 2024, shortly after 2:30 a.m., Dufferin OPP officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Highway 9 in the Town of Mono. Officers spoke with the driver and were led into an impaired driving investigation.
Pavan JHOOTTI, a 38-year-old male, from Caledon has been charged with:
Operation while impaired blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
Operation while impaired alcohol and drugs
Drive vehicle or boat with cannabis readily available
The accused individuals are scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Orangeville. Their drivers licence was suspended 90 days, and their vehicles impounded for 7 days.
