(CITY OF KAWARTHA LAKES, ON) Members of the City of Kawartha Lakes Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) entered into an impaired driving investigation on September 19, 2024, after a motor vehicle was reported as being in the ditch.
On September 19, 2024, at approximately 8:37 p.m., officers responded to a motor vehicle located in the ditch on Simcoe Street, Mariposa Township. Upon arrival officers confirmed there were no injuries and through investigation a driver was arrested and charged with impaired driving offences.
Allan MACDONALD, 67-year-old of Woodville, was charged with:
Operation While Impaired blood alcohol concentration (80 Plus)
In addition to the charges the driver received a 90-day licence suspension, and the motor vehicle was impounded for 7 days.
