(CHATHAM-KENT, ON) The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged an individual following a traffic stop.
On September 24, 2024, at approximately 6:15 a.m., a member of the OPP Traffic Incident Enforcement Team (TIME) stopped a passenger vehicle on Grand Avenue East, Municipality of Chatham-Kent, following a notification from the Automated Licence Plate Recognition (ALPR) system.
As a result of the investigation, Nicholas ROBINSON, a 28-year-old from Oro-Medonte Township was charged with:
Operation while impaired blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
Driving while under suspension
Fail to notify change of address licence
Fail to have insurance card
A further 90-day Administrative Drivers Licence Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day Vehicle Impoundment was initiated as per statute.
The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Chatham on October 21, 2024.
