(HUNTSVILLE, ON) The Huntsville Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating a fatal collision involving a motorcycle and an SUV that occurred on September 27, 2024.
On September 27, 2024 at 3:30 p.m., Huntsville OPP officers and emergency crews responded to a serious two-vehicle collision involving a motorcycle and an SUV on Aspdin Road near Gross Road in the Township of Muskoka Lakes. The motorcycle was travelling westbound on Aspdin Road when it collided with an eastbound vehicle. The driver of the motorcycle, a 72 year-old man from Wakefield Quebec, was transported to West Parry Sound Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. The driver and a passenger of the SUV were transported to the Huntsville District Memorial Hospital with minor injuries.
Aspdin Road was closed, for several hours, while the OPP Technical Collision Investigators assisted with the investigation.
