(LAKESHORE, ON) The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Lakeshore Detachment, has charged an individual following a collision investigation.
On September 27, 2024, at approximately 5:40 p.m., emergency services including Lakeshore Fire Rescue and Essex-Windsor Emergency Medical Service (EMS) responded to a two vehicle collision on Puce Road between Walls Road and Highway 401, Municipality of Lakeshore.
A pickup truck with a lone driver and a sedan with two occupants, all were transported to a local hospital by EMS with non-life-threatening injuries.
As a result of the investigation, Paul SABUTSCH, a 32-year-old from Lakeshore was charged with:
· Operation while impaired alcohol and drugs S. 320.14(1)(a) CC
· Operation while impaired blood alcohol concentration (80 plus) S.320.14(1)(a) CC
A 90-day drivers licence suspension and a 7-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.
The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Windsor October 18, 2024.
