(OXFORD COUNTY, ON) A two-vehicle collision in the Township of Zorra has claimed the life of one individual.
On September 28, 2024, at approximately 7:45 p.m., members from the Oxford and Middlesex detachments of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) with assistance from Zorra Fire and Emergency Services, Oxford County Emergency Medical Services, and Middlesex-London Paramedic Services responded to a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of 17th Line and 19th Line, in the Township of Zorra.
Eight occupants were transported to area hospitals, where one individual was later pronounced deceased. All other passengers sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
Road closures are in effect on 19th Line and Road 66, 19th Line and 21st Line and 17th Line at Road 64.
Oxford OPP members along with Technical Collision Investigators (TCI) and Traffic Incident Management Enforcement (TIME) Team are on scene and predict the road to be closed for several hours to continue the investigation.
