(PETERBOROUGH COUNTY, ON) Members of the Peterborough County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) entered into an investigation regarding multiple Break and Enters and Thefts which has resulted in an arrest.
On Wednesday October 2, 2024, members of the Peterborough County OPP CSCU, assisted by the Peterborough Police Service (PPS), received information regarding a person believed to be involved in a string of Break and Enters and Thefts that occurred in both Peterborough County and Peterborough City.
Officers attended a location in Peterborough City, identified the individual and arrested them.
Dillan FARNELL (age 26) of Peterborough, ON., was arrested and charged with:
Theft of motor vehicle (three counts)
Theft under $5000 (five counts)
Possession of property obtained by crime (two counts)
Operation while prohibited
Break and Enter Commit Indictable Offence (four counts)
Fail to comply with Probation Order
The accused was held for Bail to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Peterborough.
