(HALDIMAND COUNTY, ON) On October 6, 2024, at approximately 12:40 p.m., the Haldimand detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a single vehicle collision on Haldimand Road 9, near Hagersville.
The investigation determined that a vehicle left the roadway at that location.
Upon arrival, police spoke with the driver, and it became apparent they had consumed alcohol.
The individual was placed under arrest and transported to an OPP detachment for testing.
As a result of the investigation, 25-year-old Brody HARVIE of Selkirk has been charged with the following offences:
Operation While Impaired Blood Alcohol Concentration (80 plus)
Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
Careless Storage of Firearm, Weapon, Prohibited Device or Ammunition
Occupant of Motor Vehicle Knowing there was Firearm
Possession of Prohibited or Restricted Firearm with Ammo
Possession of a Prohibited Device or Ammunition
Driver Fail to Surrender Licence
The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cayuga on October 29, 2024.
