(DUFFERIN COUNTY) Members of the Dufferin Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) work extremely hard to keep the roads safe in Dufferin County. Officers have removed and charged a Brampton resident with Highway Traffic Act (HTA), Criminal Code of Canada (CCC) offences along with a three-day drivers licence suspension as the result of a traffic stop.
On October 7, 2024, just after 1:00 a.m., Dufferin OPP officers were conducting traffic enforcement in the area of Highway 10 in the Town of Mono. Officers conducted a traffic stop and were quickly led to an impaired driving investigation.
Satrohan SINGH, 35-year-old male, from Brampton has been charged with:
Failure to comply with undertaking
Speeding 1 49 Km/h over posted limit
The driver was also issued a three-day drivers licence suspension for being within the warn range at the roadside.
The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Orangeville to answer to the charges. Their drivers licence was suspended, and the vehicle was impounded.
