(LAMBTON, ON) A traffic stop led to an individual being charged for driving while impaired.
On October 19, 2024, shortly after 3:00 a.m., a member of the Lambton County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a traffic stop on Tashmoo Avenue, Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
As a result of the investigation, Robert ROGERS, 68-year-old of Aamjiwnaang First Nation, was arrested and charged under the Criminal Code with the following offence:
Operation while impaired blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
A 90-day Administrative Drivers License Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.
The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice on November 20, 2024, in the City of Sarnia to speak to the charge.
