(DOURO-DUMMER TWP, ON) – Officers from the Peterborough County detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged an individual after receiving a report of a possible impaired driver.
On Thursday October 24, 2024, shortly after 7:15pm, Peterborough County OPP
Officers received a report of a possible impaired driver on Television Road. The complainant advised that the vehicle had left the roadway going into the ditch, then drove back onto the road and continued on. A description of the vehicle and the driver was provided to police.
A short while later, officers located a vehicle matching the description that had been provided with what appeared to be recent damage to the front end of the vehicle. The vehicle was parked on the lawn of a residence. Officers located the registered owner of the vehicle who also matched the description that had been provided of the driver. After a brief conversation, officers determined that the individual was under the influence of alcohol at which point they were arrested.
Nicole GRAY (age 32) of Peterborough, ON., was arrested and charged with:
· Operation while impaired
· Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
· Fail to Comply with Probation Order
The accused had their drivers licence suspended for 90-days, and their vehicle impounded for seven days.
The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Peterborough on November 19, 2024.
