(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) Following an investigation into stolen property, one individual has been charged after a search warrant was executed at a property on Windham Road 13.
In September 2024, the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Norfolk County Detachments Preventing Auto Theft Unit, with support from the Haldimand/Norfolk OPP Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU), initiated an investigation into stolen property linked to an address on Windham Road 13 in Simcoe, Norfolk County.
Around 7:13 a.m. on Friday, October 25, 2024, the Norfolk County OPP Preventing Auto Theft Unit, along with the Haldimand/Norfolk OPP CSCU, executed a search warrant at the same address.
As a result, one individual was taken into custody without incident.
While searching the property, officers located and seized five stolen vehicles, two utility trailers, numerous vehicle parts, and vehicle accessories, with an estimated total value of $200,000.

Charged with the following alleged offences is 48-year-old Jerry Lee GILBERT of Norfolk County:
Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000 in Canada (five counts),
Possession of property obtained by crime under $,5000 in Canada (two counts).
The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Simcoe on Tuesday, December 3, 2024.
