(CITY OF KAWARTHA LAKES, ON) Members of the City of Kawartha Lakes Ontario Provincial Police Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU), Kawartha Lakes Police Service Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU), OPP Tactics and Rescue Unit (TRU), OPP Emergency Response Team (ERT) and OPP K9 executed a section 11 CDSA Search Warrant on a residential property in the Town of Lindsay. As a result of the warrant a quantity of crack cocaine, fentanyl, proceeds of crime, indicia of drug trafficking and a stolen Toronto Firefighter badge was seized.
The following have been arrested and charged:
Matthew RUTTAN, 44 years of age, of Lindsay was charged with:
· Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000
· Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking Cocaine
Braydon MISANCHUK, 23 years of age, of Lindsay was charged with:
· Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000 x2
· Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking Cocaine
Both accused were held for a Bail Hearing with the Ontario Court of Justice.
