(PICTON, ON) – The East Region Community Street Crime Unit has arrested and charged two individuals after executing a search warrant in Picton yesterday.

On October 31, 2024 a search warrant was executed on Old Milford Road. As a result of the warrant, officers seized nine firearms and a quantity of suspected cocaine.

Adam MCCONNELL, age 35 and Alisha ZACHARIAH, age 36, both from Prince Edward County were charged with the following offences:

Possession of a schedule one substance for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine
Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5000
Careless storage of firearm, weapon, prohibited device or ammunition – nine counts
Unauthorized possession of a firearm – nine counts
Both individuals were held for a bail hearing before the Ontario Court of Justice on November 1, 2024.
