(PEMBROKE, ON) One individual is facing Criminal Code (CC) and Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) charges after drug seizures in the City of Pembroke.
The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) East Region Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU), assisted by OPPs Emergency Response Team (ERT), Canine Unit and members the Upper Ottawa Valley OPP, executed a warrant on November 6, 2024, in the 300 block of Mary Street in Pembroke.
Police seized suspected hydromorphone and methamphetamine, a cell phone, and approximately $6000 in cash.
As a result of this investigation 43-year-old Brent DERION of no fixed address is charged with the following CC and CDSA offences:
Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking hydromorphone
Possession of a schedule I substance methamphetamine
Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime over $5000
Fail to comply with probation order
Breach of recognizance two counts
The accused was held for a bail hearing and remains in custody until their next appearance at the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke on November 13, 2024.
