(TEMISKAMING SHORES, ON) One person was arrested and charged with impaired driving after Temiskaming Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) made two separate attempts to stop a motor vehicle.
On November 9, 2024, at approximately 1:45 a.m., police attempted to stop a motor vehicle on Armstrong Street, but the driver failed to stop. At approximately 2:00 a.m., police located the same vehicle on Carter Boulevard and the driver failed to stop once again.
Police identified the driver which was later located, arrested and charged.
Carl TRIPP, 27 years-of-age, from New Liskeard, was charged with:
Operation while impaired alcohol
Resist peace officer
Fail to stop for police two counts
Drive motor vehicle no plates
Fail to apply for permit on becoming owner
Operate a motor vehicle without insurance
Drive motor vehicle no license
Disobey stop sign fail to stop
The driver was issued a 3-day drivers license suspension and is scheduled to appear before the Haileybury Ontario Court of Justice on November 26, 2024.
