(TECUMSEH, ON) – On November 11, 2024, at approximately 12:09 a.m., Tecumseh Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a single motor vehicle collision on Riverside Driver at Manning Road in the Town of Tecumseh.

Officers arrived on scene to find a vehicle with the driver.

As a result of the investigation, Jeffrey RIVAIT, 46-years-of age from Tecumseh was charged with:



· Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs

· Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario court of justice Windsor, on November 29, 2024.

Essex County OPP wants to remind the public that if you see anything suspicious or suspect an impaired driver you should contact the Ontario Provincial Police or your nearest police authority immediately. The OPP can be reached anywhere in the Province of Ontario at 1-888-310-1122.
