(LITTLE CURRENT, ON) One person has been charged with impaired operation following a single motor vehicle collision.
On November 5, 2024, at approximately 10:00 p.m., the Manitoulin Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a single motor vehicle collision, where a pickup truck went into the ditch at the intersection of Highway 542 and Perivale Road West, Campbell Township.
While speaking to the driver police determined alcohol had been consumed and the driver was arrested for impaired operation. The driver was transported to the Little Current detachment for further testing, where he refused to provide a breath sample.
As a result, the driver, Joshua FOGAL, 31-years-old from Carnarvon Township, was charged with:
Operation while impaired alcohol
Refusal to comply with demand
The pickup truck was impounded for seven days, and the drivers licence was suspended. The driver did not require medical attention.
The accused appeared before the Ontario Court of Justice Bail Court on November 6, 2024, and was remanded into custody.
