(EMBRUN, ON) The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) East Region Community Street Crime Unit has arrested two people for drug trafficking in Embrun.
Street Crime Unit members, assisted by members of the Russell County Detachment, executed a search warrant on Wednesday, November 13, 2024, at a residence on Notre Dame Street. They seized approximately 120 suspected methamphetamine pills and over a gram of suspected cocaine, as well as items typically associated with drug trafficking.
Two people were arrested at the scene.
Julie GOYETTE, age 50 of Ottawa is charged with two counts of possession of a Schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking. This accused was turned over to Hawkesbury OPP and another police service on unrelated matters.
Madeleine ETHIER, age 57 of Russell Township, has been charge with possession of a Schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking. This accused has been released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in LOrignal on December 4, 2024.
