(CITY OF KAWARTHA LAKES, ON) Members from the City of Kawartha Lakes Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) entered into a drug trafficking investigation following a traffic stop for speeding on November 18, 2024.
An officer on patrol observed a motor vehicle speeding southbound on Pigeon Lake Road at 2:45pm. A traffic stop was conducted where the officer entered into a drug possession investigation. Through investigation the driver and two passengers were arrested and charged with Criminal Code, Cannabis Control Act and Highway Traffic Act offences.
