(DRYDEN, ON) – An investigation led by the Dryden Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) with the assistance from members of the Red Lake OPP CSCU, Sioux Lookout OPP CSCU and the Dryden OPP detachment has led to charges being laid against a local resident.
On November 22, 2024, just prior to 12:00 p.m., a search warrant was executed on a residence on Hearst Avenue, in the City of Dryden. The investigation resulted in the arrest of a Dryden resident and the seizure of suspected illicit drugs, including cocaine and crack cocaine, as well as further evidence of drug trafficking.
As a result of the investigation, Nicole LELONDE, 47 years old, has been arrested and charged with the following offences under the Criminal Code and Controlled Drugs and Substances Act:
Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine
Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5000
Possession of prohibited device or ammunition for a dangerous purpose
Unauthorized possession of a weapon
The accused was held in custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice – Kenora on November 25, 2024.
