(BECKWITH TWP, ON) The Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a Beckwith Township resident and a McNab/Braeside Township resident with impaired driving.
Officers responded to a traffic complaint on Highway-7 in Beckwith Township on Friday, December 6, 2024, shortly before 8:00 p.m.
Officers arrested one driver and transported the individual to the Carleton Place Detachment for testing.
As a result of the investigation, William MACINNIS, age 58, has been charged with:
Operation while impaired blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on January 13, 2025.
Officers also responded to a single vehicle collision on Waba Road in Mississippi Mills Township on Sunday, December 8, 2024, at approximately 6:10 p.m.
A male was arrested and transported to the Renfrew OPP Detachment for testing.
As a result of the investigation, Donald SLATER, age 61, has been charged with:
Operation while impaired blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
Operation while impaired Alcohol
The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on January 27, 2025.
Both individuals drivers licences have been suspended for 90 days (Administrative Drivers Licence Suspension) and vehicles have been impounded for seven days.
