(SOUTH HURON, ON) The Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating a robbery that took place on December 7th, 2024, at a residential address on Carling Street in the Town of Exeter in the Municipality of South Huron.
On Saturday, December 7th, 2024, just after 1:00 p.m., two individuals attended a residence and proceeded to assault and steal money from the occupants inside the home.
The victims identified the two suspects who were later located by police and taken into custody. Charges have been laid against the following individuals:
Brandon MAYHEW, 32 years of age from South Huron has been charged with the following offences:
Robbery with a Weapon,
Assault,
Assault with a Weapon,
Mischief, Destroys or Damages Property,
Uttering Threats to Cause Bodily Harm or Death,
Unauthorized Possession of a Weapon,
Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose,
Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000,
Fail to Comply with Probation Order (two counts).
The accused was processed at the Huron OPP detachment and held for a bail hearing where they were remanded into custody.
Krista BARTLETT, 47 years of age from South Huron has been charged with the following offences:
Robbery with a Weapon,
Assault,
Mischief, Destroys or Damages Property,
Uttering Threats to Cause Bodily Harm or Death,
Assault with a Weapon.
The accused was processed at the Huron OPP detachment and held for a bail hearing where they were remanded into custody.
