(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) Three individuals have been charged following a break-and-enter investigation in Simcoe.
At approximately 5:27 p.m. on Monday, January 13, 2025, officers from the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Norfolk County Detachment responded to a reported break-and-enter on Norfolk Street South in Simcoe, Norfolk County.
It was determined that a group of individuals had unlawfully entered a business on the property.
Officers located three individuals on the premises and took them into custody without incident. A search of the individuals led to the discovery and seizure of suspected fentanyl, ecstasy, morphine, and Canadian currency.
36-year-old Kirbie WAMSLEY from Haldimand County has been charged with the following alleged offences:
Break, enter a place commit indictable offence,
Possession of a Schedule I substance opioid (other than heroin),
Possession of a Schedule I substance methylenedioxyamphetamine (ecstasy)
The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Simcoe on Tuesday, February 11, 2025.
45-year-old Zachariah SOLOMON from Six Nations of the Grand River First Nation has been charged with the following alleged offences:
Break, enter a place commit indictable offence,
Possession of a Schedule I substance other drugs.
The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Simcoe on Tuesday, February 11, 2025.
47-year-old Jason BALCOMB from Norfolk County has been charged with the following alleged offences:
Break, enter a place commit indictable offence,
Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking opioid (other than heroin),
Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000 (in Canada),
Fail to comply with Probation Order.
The accused has been held in custody and is scheduled to appear for a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Simcoe on Tuesday, January 14, 2025.
