(CITY OF KAWARTHA LAKES, ON) On January 14th, 2025, at approximately 5:00 p.m., Members from the City of Kawartha Lakes Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received reports of an impaired driver. Officers located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop.
After speaking with the driver, the officer entered an investigation for operation while impaired.
As a result, 41-year-old, Justin Adamson, from Omemee was arrested and charged with
Operation while impaired- blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
Driving motor vehicle with liquor readily available
The driver was released from custody with a future court date and served a 90-day drivers licence suspension, and the involved vehicle was towed and impounded for seven days in accordance with the Ministry of Transportation (ADLS) guidelines.
