(LAURENTIAN HILLS, ON) An area resident is facing a driving-related Criminal Code (CC) charge after an investigation by members of the Upper Ottawa Valley (UOV) Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP).
On the evening of January 9, 2025, police received information about a possible impaired driver in Laurentian Hills. Officers located the vehicle and driver in the Town of Chalk River and began an investigation.
As a result of this incident 46-year-old Ryan HAWLEY of Laurentian Hills has been charged with failure or refusal to comply with demand contrary to the CC. The accused was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice on February 4, 2025.
The accused had their drivers licence suspended for 90 days and their vehicle was towed and impounded for seven days.
