(LOYALIST TWP, ON) The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) East Region Community Street Crime Unit has charged two people and seized illegal drugs in the Amherstview area of Loyalist Township.
On Wednesday, February 5, 2025, Street Crime Unit officers, assisted by members of the Lennox and Addington County Detachment, OPP Emergency Response Team and OPP Canine Unit, executed a search warrant at a residence on Huff Avenue. They also conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on Amherst Drive. Two people were arrested.
Investigators seized nearly 28-grams of suspected fentanyl, over 46-grams of suspected methamphetamine and over 43-grams of suspected cocaine. Officers also seized a vehicle and items typically associated with drug trafficking.
Darcy HARTWICK, age 22 of South Frontenac Township, has been charged with:
Possession of a Schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking three counts
Fail to comply with a probation order
Raven HATFIELD, age 37 of Loyalist Township, has been charged with:
Possession of a Schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking three counts
Operation of a vehicle while prohibited under the Criminal Code.
Both of the accused were held for a bail hearing before the Ontario Court of Justice in Kingston.
