(WEST NIPISSING, ON) The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) arrested and charged one person with possession of stolen property after the execution of a search warrant at a residence.
On January 28, 2025, OPP members from the North East Region Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU), Emergency Response Team (ERT), and Snowmobile ATV and Vessel Enforcement (SAVE) Unit, executed a search warrant at a residence on Larocque Street, West Nipissing.
A search of the residence led to the seizure of stolen property being, a 2009 Caterpillar 256C skid steer, a home-made trailer, and two-snowmobile sleighs.
As a result of the investigation, Shane KELLY, 35-years-of-age, from Field, was arrested and charged with:
Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime over $5000
Possession property obtained by crime under $5,000 two counts
Failure to comply with undertaking.
The accused was held for Bail Court, then remanded back into custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice on February 12, 2025, in North Bay.
