(LAKESHORE, ON) One person has been charged with impaired driving following a traffic stop in Lakeshore.
On February 2, 2025, at approximately 1:24 p.m., members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Lakeshore Detachment, were dispatched to the Westbound lanes of Highway 401, Municipality of Lakeshore, for a report of a single-vehicle collision.
John DILLON, 57-years-old of Windsor, was arrested and charged under the Criminal Code with the following offences:
Operation while impaired alcohol and drugs
Operation while impaired blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
There were no injuries reported.
A 90-day Administrative Drivers License Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.
The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice Windsor on February 11, 2025, to speak to the charges.
