(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) A break-and-enter investigation in Simcoe has led to multiple charges against an individual.
At approximately 9:37 a.m. on Friday, February 7, 2025, the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Norfolk County Detachment investigated a break-and-enter on Norfolk Street South in Simcoe, Norfolk County.
It was determined that shortly before 5:00 a.m., an individual unlawfully entered a business, stole multiple electronic items along with a quantity of Canadian currency, and then fled the area on foot.
Officers later found an individual on Kent Street North in Simcoe who matched the suspects description. The individual was taken into custody without incident.
During a search of the individual, officers recovered stolen property linked to this incident, along with items connected to thefts from motor vehicles reported earlier that day on Tulip Crescent in Simcoe.
43-year-old Philip RHORA from Haldimand County has been charged with the following alleged offences:
Break, enter a place commit indictable offence,
Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000 (six counts).
The accused has been held in custody and is scheduled to appear for a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Simcoe on Monday, February 10, 2025.
