(PRINCE EDWARD COUNTY, ON) A traffic complaint has resulted in a driver being charged with impaired operation.
On February 9, 2025, at approximately 12:00 p.m., members of the Prince Edward County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a possible impaired driver on Gardenville Road. Further investigation led to an Approved Screening Device being utilized, and the driver was arrested and transported to the detachment for further testing.
As a result of the investigation, Jacqueline EDDY, age 46 from Prince Edward County, was arrested and charged with:
Operation while impaired alcohol
Fail or refusal to comply with demand
The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on February 26, 2025. They also had their drivers license suspended for a period of 90 days and vehicle impounded for seven days.
