(PRINCE EDWARD COUNTY, ON) A traffic stop has resulted in a driver being charged with impaired operation.
On March 10, 2025, at approximately 9:30 p.m., members of the Prince Edward County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a traffic stop on Highway 49. Further investigation led to an Approved Screening Device being utilized, and the driver was arrested and transported to the detachment for further testing.
As a result of the investigation, Jordan LEWIS, age 29 from Prince Edward County, was arrested and charged with:
Operation while impaired alcohol
Operation while impaired blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
Driving while under suspension three counts
Driving with improper headlights
The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on April 2, 2025. They also had their drivers license suspended for a period of 90 days and vehicle impounded for 7 days.
