(SOUTH BRUCE, ON) On March 9, 2025, a member of the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was conducting stationary radar enforcement along Bruce Road 3 in the Municipality of South Bruce.
At approximately 1:27 p.m., the officer observed a motor vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed in the posted 60 km/h zone, to which a traffic stop was initiated.
As a result of the investigation, a 20-year-old motorist from Mississauga was charged under the Highway Traffic Act with the following:
Drive Motor Vehicle Perform Stunt, HTA 172(1)
Drive Motor Vehicle Fail to display two plates, HTA 7(1)(b)(i)
Fail to surrender permit, HTA 7(5)(a)
Anyone charged with stunt driving receives a 14-day vehicle impoundment and a 30-day drivers licence suspension.
The accused is scheduled to appear in the Provincial Offences Court Walkerton, at a later date.
