(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – A traffic stop near Villa Nova resulted in charges for a prohibited driver.



At approximately 12:23 p.m. on Monday, March 10, 2025, an officer from the West Region Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Traffic Incident Management Enforcement (TIME) Team initiated a traffic stop and investigation on Indian Line near Villa Nova in Norfolk County.



The investigation revealed that the driver was both prohibited and suspended from operating a vehicle. They were subsequently taken into custody without incident.



73-year-old Stephen ALEXANDER from Norfolk County has been charged with the following alleged offences:

Operation while prohibited under the Criminal Code,
Driving while under suspension.
The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Simcoe on Tuesday, May 13, 2025.
