(RENFREW, ON) The Renfrew Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged one person after receiving a report of a single vehicle collision.
On March 7, 2025, at approximately 11:30 p.m., Renfrew OPP received a report of a vehicle in a ditch on Mount St. Patrick Road in Admaston-Bromley Township. Police arrived on scene to find an abandoned vehicle, and an individual walking away from scene.
As a result of the investigation, Richard BROWN, age 57 of Calabogie was charged with:
· Operation while impaired- alcohol
· Operation while impaired- blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
· Driving while under suspension
· Operate motor vehicle without insurance
· Use of plate not authorized
· Drive motor vehicle, no currently validated permit
· Fail to apply for permit on becoming an owner
The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke on March 26, 2025. The individuals drivers license has been suspended for 90 days, and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.
