(WHITEDOG FIRST NATION, ON) – Members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) in Kenora have arrested and charged one individual with assault following an altercation.



On March 8th, 2025, at approximately 9:30 a.m., members of the Kenora OPP Detachment responded to an incident on Main Road in Whitedog First Nation. Officers attended and spoke to several individuals. Through the investigation, it was determined that the female had assaulted an individual at the residence with a weapon, resulting in minor injuries.



Melissa MIUCHAUD, 38-years-old of Whitedog First Nation, Ontario has been charged under the Criminal Code with:



· Assault with a weapon

· Assault causing bodily harm

The accused has been remanded into custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Kenora on the 14th of March 2025.
