(ONEIDA NATION OF THE THAMES FIRST NATION, ON) Middlesex County OPP and Oneida Nation Police investigating a collision involving a police cruiser.
On March 12, 2025, at 2:38 p.m., members of the Oneida Nation Police and the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) while on general patrol on Bodkin Road, Oneida Nation of the Thames First Nation, observed an un-plated vehicle driving erratically.
The vehicle drove toward officers who were able to avoid a collision. The vehicle fled the area.
A short time later the vehicle was again observed driving toward officers at which time it collided with an OPP cruiser and again sped away.
OPP aviation was engaged to assist, however was met with negative results.
Damage was minimal to the cruiser and there were no injuries.
The vehicle was located abandoned in the City of London.
The investigation is continuing.
