Child Abuse Investigation Results In 20+ Charges #WaitInTheTruck

(RENFREW, ON) The Renfrew Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), with assistance from Renfrew County Family and Childrens Services (FCS), has charged one person after investigating allegations of child abuse.
On March 14, 2025, Renfrew OPP completed a joint investigation with FCS in Arnprior.
As a result of the investigation, the accused, age 40 from Arnprior, was charged with:
· Assault 23 counts
· Assault spousal
· Assault cause bodily harm- choke, suffocate or strangle
· Uttering threats- cause death or bodily harm, two counts
· Killing or injuring animals three counts
The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke on April 30, 2025.
In efforts to protect the identity of the victims, the accused will not be named.
