(RENFREW, ON) The Renfrew Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged two people after receiving a traffic complaint about a possible impaired driver.
The call came in on March 21, 2025, at approximately 10:00 p.m.
Police located a vehicle matching the description on Kerr Line in Horton Township. Officers searched the vehicle and located suspected drugs and a firearm.
As a result of the investigation, Bruce ELLIOT, age 40 of Portage-du-fort, Quebec was charged with:
Transport firearm, weapon, prohibited device, or ammunition in a careless manner
Careless storage of a firearm, weapon, prohibited device or ammunition
Possession of a Schedule I substance
The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke on April 23, 2025.
Jeff LOGUE, age 39 of Whitewater Region, was charged with:
Possession of firearm or ammunition contrary to prohibition order
Careless storage of firearm, weapon, prohibited device or ammunition
Transport firearm, weapon, prohibited device or ammunition in a careless manner
Possession of a schedule I substance
Fail to comply with probation order
The accused was held for a bail hearing.
