(CENTRE WELLINGTON TWP, ON) The Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) arrest and charge two suspects in relation to a shoplifting investigation.
On March 24, 2025, at approximately 1:00 p.m., the Wellington County OPP responded to a report of an in-progress theft at a local retailer on St David Street North within the Town of Fergus. It was reported that two individuals were attempting to shoplift approximately over $1,300 worth of items with no attempt to pay and proceeded to flee the area when police arrived. Both individuals were located and arrested without incident.
James IRONSIDE, 32-year-old of Guelph is charged under the Criminal Code with:
Theft under $5000 Shoplifting
Unlawfully in dwelling house
The accused has been released form custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice Guelph on April 29, 2025.
Jules RODRIGUES, 27-year-old of Guelph is charged under the Criminal Code with:
Theft under $5000 Shoplifting
The accused has been released form custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice Guelph on May 2, 2025.
